WATCH: 'Sharknado' star Tara Reid gives bizarre interview, then buzzes out of her press tour

It's a banner weekend for celebrities from Wyckoff.

For one, Nick Jonas celebrated his engagement to Priyanka Chopra.

Not to be outdone, Tara Reid, another pride of the "Garden Town in the Garden State," has gone a bit viral for one recent interview she gave to promote "Sharknado 6: The Last Sharknado."

The final installment (so they say) in Syfy's campy, chainsaw-happy franchise is set to air at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Reid and Ian Ziering (pride of West Orange and "90210"), the heroes of the shark-infested TV movies, splashed onto the scene in 2013 to surprise acclaim on social media. In the latest farcical romp, they tackle time travel in an attempt to bring an end to the toothy nemesis that has followed them across the globe and into outer space.

In a three-minute clip from her conversation with the Australian "Today Show" posted to Twitter on Thursday, Reid, who conducted the interview from New York, appears to squint and slur her speech while describing various plot points in the "Sharknado" movies. She says the latest is her favorite.

"It really makes sense, from the first one, it really does -- it makes a complete circle," Reid, 42, says of "Sharknado 6."

Before "Sharknado," the actress was best known for the "American Pie" movies and "The Big Lebowski."

The "Today Show" often cut away from Reid to "Sharknado" footage as she started and stopped sentences, attempting to relay various anecdotes and express why she likes playing her character, April.

The "Sharknado" heroine started off as a housewife, then had her hand bitten off by a shark, only to be replaced with a chainsaw. Given a robotic hand, she became something of a "Bionic Woman," Reid says, before Ziering's character, Fin, found her decapitated head, which seemingly dies in his hands at the end of "Sharknado 5."

After the interview aired, Reid tweeted she would be ending her "Sharknado" press tour early.

"Due to some back issues I am having, I had to cut my press tour short," she posted on Friday.

In an appearance on Fox 5 Friday alongside Ziering (see clip below), Reid's manner appeared to momentarily rile her co-star (see the five-minute mark).

"Six years, I think we're all very lucky we've gone this far. I await with eager anticipation for what's next," he said, before Reid cut in to talk about ... Valentine's Day. The look on his face (see photo below) as she began to speak might best be described as a combination of annoyance and exasperation.

"I think, like, February when we come down (inaudible), it's always, Valentine's Day, we all send each other, these, like, roses. We're, like ... valentines," Reid said. "It's just going to be different this time."

In this, she seemed to be saying that when they shoot the "Sharknado" movies, it is Valentine's Day, but that's unclear.

"Life goes on," Ziering said, moving on.

Both stars also took a moment to express their appreciation for their home state. Ziering gave a shoutout to Taylor ham.

"I have a great time, being, like, brought up in New Jersey, to be honest with you," Reid said, before dribbling out, "Like they say, like, you could take the girl out of Jersey but never (inaudible) Jersey out of the girl."

Reid has contended with alcoholism in the past, having been to rehab. This isn't the first time the actress has had an issue while promoting "Sharknado."

In 2016, she walked out of an interview with Jenny McCarthy after the SiriusXM host asked about Reid appearing on "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" alongside her then-boyfriend, Dean May (though they later admitted they weren't actually a couple). She also objected to McCarthy's questions about plastic surgery. From there, the conversation took a significant downturn.

"I hope your knees get a little wobblier than they already are," McCarthy told Reid. The "Sharknado" star replied with a comment about McCarthy's chest.

"They're amazing, same guy who did mine, right?" she said, referring to her own famously botched breast augmentation.

"Love you, Tara," McCarthy said. "Good luck with 'Sharknado 18.'"
