Critter Cavalry Rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Cavalry give them a chance to have a life?

Meet BUDDY

Our young Norwegian Elkhound boy is called Buddy.  He desperately needs to find a family where the can be their special “Buddy”.   He is just 1.5 year old boy that is so handsome and we cannot say enough about how absolutely gorgeous and full of youthful life and energy he is. Buddy was born on a Norwegian Elkhound breeder farm and now that the breeder is shutting down her breeding, Critter Cavalry Rescue is trying to help all the adult dogs find good homes that can give them great lives.  Buddy has so much potential, and he seemed to really enjoy the photo shoot.   Living outside all his life this boy is ready for air conditioning and warm heat in the winter.  Outside kennels provide none of that. Norwegian Elkhounds are a fairly rare breed known for their loyalty, intelligence, and sensitivity. Buddy gets along well with all his dog friends, and would do great with any family- he may eventually enjoy going on adventures once he feels confident in his new home. Buddy's youth and energy level will blend well with a chance to be outside at times or get some exercise.  Though he may need a little patience and time - he should quickly learn household routines and manners.  If you are interested in Buddy, please email us at [email protected] PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.
