Moire Effect in Grasshopper

Hi everyone!
I’m new to Rhino/Grasshopper and I’m interested in creating a particular kind of moire effect in Grasshopper. I’m finding it terribly hard to find educational material for this purpose, or even software that could help me understand it. Maybe I’m not using the right combination of words to search for it.

I’m particularly interested in a moiré effect with vertical lines that creates what seems to be something like a Fermat’s Spiral distortion effect in the middle.

You start only with vertical lines, and by distorting them in this spiral shape, you start to see the moire effect. Depending of how much you “zoom out” (or add lines), you start to see more of the spiral and other effects all over the image.

Here are some examples I found online of what seems to be similar to what I’m looking for.

I found this thread from many years ago about Moiré, but the definition with it’s components is not available anymore:

Anyone have any idea how to kick off something like this?
Maybe Grid distortion?
Any help would be really appreaciated, even if it’s just a recommendation of a book, software, etc.

Thanks!

It seems that I could simulate this effect in Photoshop using the “Twirl Filter”.

Anyone have an idea of how to achieve such distortion on Grasshopper?
Maybe distroting an image in that way. Or controlling nurb curves.

Hello
it is not too difficult in GH

You can combine transformations

If odd or even different results

I’m currently away from my GH but I think you can use fields for it. Also it is possible through kangaroo.

How about this?
