Who Are Meghan Markle's Closest Friends?

Stylist Jessica Mulroney, who is said to be Markle’s best friend, is a Canada-based fashion stylist known for working with Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, Canada’s first lady. The two became close after Markle moved to Canada to film Suits. She and her husband, Ben, have reportedly had them over for secret dinners in Toronto; she was also with Markle at the Invictus Games, and Mulroney's three children all served as bridal attendants in the wedding.

The consultant for the private club Soho House reportedly introduced Markle to Prince Harry, and set the two up during a group meeting at a private space in Soho House. He has taken vacations with Markle and sat with her at the Invictus Games in 2017.

Fashion designer Misha Nonoo has dressed Markle for various occasions, and is also close to the actress. The two of them have gone on multiple vacations together, and she may also have had a hand in setting up the newly engaged couple. Her ex-husband, Alexander Gilkes, went to school with Prince Harry and Prince William, and they even got to attend William’s wedding. “Her greatest strength is her compassion for others,” Nonoo told Vanity Fair. “Much of the work she does is unseen by the public.”

People has described TV producer and author Lindsay Roth as Markle’s best friend; the two met in a Toni Morrison literature class at Northwestern University and have been close ever since. Markle was maid of honor at her wedding. “I don’t know many people who are as generous and supportive as Meg is,” Roth told the magazine back in March. “I think people assume that when someone gains notoriety that they change. But she’s still the same girl I met years ago, with the same values and priorities."

Markle has gone on vacation with Benita Litt, a lawyer-turned fashion entrepreneur who works with companies like Netflix and Samsung. Markle is the godmother to Litt’s two daughters, Rylan, 7, and Remi, 6, who will be accompanying her down the aisle at the wedding.

Markle met the tennis star at a charity football game in 2014, and they have stayed friends ever since. “Her personality just shines,” Williams told Vanity Fair. “I told her, ‘You’ve got to be who you are, Meghan. You can’t hide.’”

The two actresses have been friends for a while now, and even saw Hamilton together in New York City back in 2016. Markle has been friends with fellow actress Gavankar for years. Markle has also posted photos with fellow actress Abigail Spencer, who worked with her on Suits. Spencer has even contributed to Markle’s now-defunct website, The Tig. And she’s also gushed about her friend’s relationship with Prince Harry. “She’s got warm elegance, though her style is hard to pin down. It’s classy and timeless,” Spencer told Vanity Fair. “When you’re talking to her, you feel like you’re the only person on the planet. And it’s just wonderful to see her so in love.”
