AN aerial picture of Neverland PROVES the property’s train station wasn’t built when James Safechuck claims he was abused in it.

Safechuck alleges that Michael Jackson molested him from 1988 until 1992 including in a room in the railway station at the star’s sprawling ranch in California.

The claim was made in the explosive documentary Leaving Neverland and also in court documents despite construction permits showing that approval for the building happened in September 1993.

Now a professional aerial picture, licensed by Getty Images, of the ranch proves that the building did not exist in August 1993.

This comes after two different accounts appeared to claim that the train station opened in 1990.

Jackson biographer Mike Smallcombe has debunked the claims of the star’s bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard as well as author Randall Sullivan.

In Sullivan’s book Untouchable: The Strange Life and Tragic Death of Michael Jackson, he includes the train station in his description of the ranch during its public opening in 1990.

PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE

However, Smallcombe points out the book states that it uses a 2003 sheriff’s department video as a source for its description of the ranch.

He said: “While there was a public opening of sorts at Neverland in 1990, the train station had not yet opened.

“In fact, half of what became Neverland hadn’t been built, including much of the amusement park.

“Randall Sullivan’s book mentions that the train station was there in 1990 at that press gathering.

“He also mentions many other things being there then which weren’t, like the Zipper rollercoaster, which was approved in August 1991, and the bumper car arena, which was approved in December 1993, as was the high slide.

“So while Sullivan mentioned all these things being there at the time of that 1990 opening, they weren’t.

“The explanation for this is simple – Sullivan states in his source notes at the back of his book that his description of what Neverland might have looked like to visitors in 1990 was in fact based on a 2003 sheriff’s department video, taken during a raid of Neverland.”

Smallcome points out that Santa Barbara County permits prove that construction on the train station was approved in September 1993 before the building opened in mid-1994.

Speaking about the aerial picture, he said: “There is a picture on Getty Images, taken on August 25, 1993 by photographer Steven Starr, which shows that work on the station hadn’t even started on that date.

“There’s nothing there, except the floral clock.”

The Jackson defender also points that the bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard did not start working for the eccentric entertainer until the mid-2000s.

Jackson biographer Mike Smallcombe

Smallcombe said: ““Their book ‘Remember The Time’ was a collaboration with a ghost writer named Tanner Colby.

“That ghost writer, like Sullivan, said Neverland opened to the public in 1990. The difference is, he did not say the train station was there that year.

“The train station is not mentioned until a few paragraphs later.

“The book merely states, ‘Neverland’s visitors entered the ranch at its train station’.

“This is a general remark, which has nothing to do with the public opening in 1990, mentioned much further up the page.”

In response to Smallcombe's initial revelations about the station, Leaving Neverland director Dan Reed tweeted on March 31: "Yeah there seems to be no doubt about the station date. The date they have wrong is the end of the abuse."

Reed has, however, hit back and asked doubters to check other examples of corroborating evidence against the eccentric entertainer.

He tweeted: "Progress - seem to have conceded that Safechuck was molested and are now debating which rooms at Neverland the sex took place in + James' age when it stopped.

“How about adding up total number of nights MJ slept with other people’s sons: was it hundreds or thousands?"

Smallcombe also claims some of the testimony given by another Jackson accuser Wade Robson in the documentary can be disproved.

Speaking with the Mirror, he questions the Australian-born dancer’s account of being molested by the superstar in 1990 while his family visited the Grand Canyon.

Wade said he was left alone with Jackson for five days at the star’s Neverland Ranch in California.

But the youngster and his mother both defended Jackson while speaking to investigators in 1993 after 13-year-old Jordan Chandler accused the entertainer of sexual abuse.

Smallcombe claims it is this testimony that proves that Wade is not telling the truth.

He said: “His mother, Joy Robson, testified under oath in a deposition in 1993/1994 in relation to the Jordie Chandler case that Wade had actually gone with them on that trip to the Grand Canyon, before the entire family returned to Neverland for the second time the following weekend.

CHANGING STORIES

"Joy Robson had no reason to lie about this; she openly admitted that Wade stayed with Jackson alone on other occasions.”

Smallcombe added: “Her words in that deposition were, ‘We went to the ranch for the first weekend, and then we left and went to the Grand Canyon, and we toured. We came back to the ranch for the following weekend’.

“She was asked to elaborate on who had gone to the Grand Canyon, and she said ‘my family’. There was no mention of Wade staying behind.”

Jackson’s biographer then claims Joy said Wade had not stayed alone with Jackson at Neverland until 1993.

Wade Robson also testified in defence of Jackson during the Billy Jean songwriter’s 2005 trial in which he was cleared of molesting youngster Gavin Arviso.

In this court room testimony, the choreographer said that the only time he had stayed at Neverland without Joy was in either 1992 or 1993 along with other Jackson companions Macaulay Culkin and Chandler.

Smallcombe points out that Wade said that his sister had stayed in the same bed as him “the entire time” they were at Neverland the first time.

He says Joy corroborated that account when giving evidence in the same trial.

Smallcombe adds that Wade said he “did not know” whether his recollection of that night came from his own memory or if someone else had told him what happened.

Wade Robson alleges that Michael Jackson sexually abused him from the age of seven to 14.

Safechuck claims he was groomed and raped from age of 10 to 14 by the superstar.

Michael Jackson denied all allegations of sexual abuse made against him.

His estate has called the two-part documentary film "one-sided."
