Leeds United make offer for free agent Kamil Miazek, reveals scout

LEEDS UNITED have made an offer for goalkeeper Kamil Miazek, according to academy scout Jakub Bokiej.

Leeds United have had a strong start to season after new manager Thomas Christiansen’s summer spending spree.

The former Apoel Nicosia boss brought in 14 new faces, as well as making Pontus Jansson and Hadi Sacko’s moves permanent.

And it seems the 44-year-old is not finished there and has been eyeing up goalkeeper Kamil Miazek who is currently available on a free transfer.

Leeds academy scout Jakub Bokiej has claimed the Elland Road club have made an approach for the 21-year-old.

“Kamil Miazek (21 years old, goalkeeper) has received an offer of the contract from Leeds United,” Bokiej tweeted.

Miazek has been on trial with Leeds since the end of last month and was also checked out by Barnsley in the summer.

He was previously in Feyenoord's academy, and while with the Dutch giants admitted his ambition is to emulate Poland international Wojciech Szczesny.

"I do not prefer a particular club, it's all big clubs,” Miazek said.

"It's especially important for me to go to a club where I can do well.

“I’m determined to go abroad. If there's a big chance then you have to take it.

“I want to follow in the footsteps of Wojciech Szczęsny."

Miazek is expected to link up with the Leeds Under-23s.
