If you're squeamish, don't watch this. You've been warned!

There isn't an award for 'hardest player of the season' but St Mirren Women's captain Jane O'Toole would win it hands down if there was.

O'Toole sustained a gruesome dislocated knee injury while going for a 50-50 in St Mirren's match against Inverness on Sunday.

But what O'Toole did next proves she's hard as nails.

After getting the injury, O'Toole punched her knee in an attempt to put it back in place.

You can watch a video of the excruciating injury sustained by O'Toole, above...

She was of course in huge pain and was treated by medical staff but amazingly O'Toole carried on and played the remaining 40 minutes of the game, which St Mirren lost 7-0.

O'Toole certainly gives the likes of Terry Butcher a run for his money - the former England star continuing to play on during a World Cup qualifier against Sweden in 1989 even though huge amounts of blood was gushing from his head.

Meanwhile, Manchester City goalkeeper Bert Trautmann broke his neck during the 1956 FA Cup final and carried on playing, although he wasn't aware of the severity of the injury at the time.

Hats off to O'Toole for carrying on but we really wouldn't blame her if she came off and went straight to hospital, which is definitely the sensible option.
