The Story of Kopa

                                    

                                              
Narrator POV
Long before Kion there was Kopa. Kopa was born to Simba and Nala. He was their first born child. Lets go to the day of birth. 
"Well Simba this place sure has turned around since we freed it" said Pumbaa.
"Yeah it was nothing but a bunch of dead grass and rumble" said Timon
"Ha yeah it was bad but now it is back to normal, thank you guys for staying and helping out" said Simba.
"No problem kid" said Pumbaa.
"Yeah like we have anywhere to go anyway" said Timon.
"Sire" all three heard the scream.
"What is it Zazu".
"Nala I believe she is giving birth".
"What I'll be right there, see you guys later". Simba rushed back to pride rock to see Nala laying in the back with a cub laying next to her.
"Hey Simba you made it".
"Of course Nala I wouldn't miss this for the world, so have you thought of a name".
"I was thinking how about Kopa".
"I like that...well Kopa it is".
Kopa grew up to be just like Simba was when he was young. Kopa was soon filled with joy to find that he was going to have a sister. Kopa wanted explore everything so Simba knew that he need to give him the talk.
"Kopa you see that light up there".
"Yeah".
"That is the sun it cast light down upon our kingdom. Everything the sunlight touches is our kingdom"
"Well what about that".
Kooa looked into the shadowy area near by.
"That's the outland you must never go there Kopa".
"Why".
"Because there are creatures there that will hurt you".
But Kopa did not listen. The very next day he was playing to close to the outlands when he spotted a lioness.
"Hey who are you" said the girl.
"My name is Kopa, how about you".
"Vitani, but what are you doing out here Kopa"
"I was just chasing a mouse".
"Cool can I join".
"Sure". They played for hours. That only sparked their friendship. The two continued to play every day. The two slowly grew closer. Kopa was now an older with a small brown tuff of hair that drooped in his face. Kiara was still a young cub. It was almost night. Kopa told Vitani to meet him in there usual spot under a tree that bordered their lands. Kopa waited for Vitani to show but he didn't have to wait long.
"There you are Vitani".
"Hey Kopa" she said.
"The stars sure are beautiful tonight".
"Yeah they sure are".
"My dad says that they are the great kings of the past".
"Really that's cool, I wonder if anyone  I am related to is up there". Vitani looked at Kopa who was gazing at the stars. She nuzzled her face against his and licked his cheek. Kopa was surprised at first but soon embraced her as well. They stayed that way for awhile before finally deciding to head home. Kopa snuck into his den careful not to wake his parents or sister. Kiara looked up and walked over to him
"So Kopa do you got yourself a special someone now".
"What are you talking about".
"That girl from the outland".
"Uh".
"I saw you leave and I followed you, I think you two are cute together".
"How would you know you are still a young cub".
"What ever but I won't tell mom and dad".
"Thank you Kiara". Kopa woke the next morning ready to start the day and later on go see Vitani. Kopa walked past his father who was watching the sunrise.
"Good morning Kopa".
"Good morning dad".
Simba smelled something, that something had an odd scent.
Simba stopped Kopa.
"Why do you smell like the outlands".
"I went hunting near there yesterday that may be what you smell".
"Kopa don't lie to me".
"Alright fine I have a friend there and I was visiting her yesterday on the border".
"Kopa what did I tell you about going to the outlands".
"To stay away but I was hunting one day near there and I ran into her. Ever since then we have hang out".
"Kopa I forbid you from seeing her anymore".
"But dad she..."
"No you will see her no more her and her and herfamily are enemies to the pridelands".
Kopa stormed away.
Kopa went to visit Vitani early that day. She was waiting for him.
"Hey Kopa what's wrong".
"My dad he found out that I have visiting you and dosen't want me to anymore".
"Really".
"Yeah".
"My mother thinks the same way".
They went quite.
"Vitani I want to see I don't want to not be able see you".
"Me to Kopa".
"Vitani can I tell you something".
"Of course Kopa".
"Vitani I love you".
Vitani was stunned but happy as well.
"I love you too Kopa".
The both embraced in a nuzzle. Suddenly a thin female lion appeared behind us.
"Vitani what are you doing".
"Uh mom wh..."
Simba came over the hill as well.
"Zira stay away from my son" 
"Keep yourself and your son away from my daughter Simba".
"Come Kopa let's go". I followed my father. I looked back at Vitani and whispered goodbye. She did the same. 
                          
In the distance a group of hyenas lurked.
Kajor spoke to Fuzzi and Lielan
"So the Prides are feuding with the outlands I can use that to my advantage".
"Sir when will we".
"Not for awhile first we must spark this feud more. That boy will come back to that girl so when he does we jump on him and end him."
"Yes Kajor".
                          
Simba lead Kopa back home.
"Kopa I can't believe that you disobeyed what I just said and went back there".
"Dad I told you she is my friend".
"Well wether you are friends or not for the next few days you will remain here at pride rock". That night Kopa waited for his family to fall asleep and headed  for the outland border. Kiara wasn't asleep like she had appeared. She got up and followed Kopa. Kopa ran with all his might he wanted to see Vitani again. Kopa passed a rock and was jumped.
"So son of Simba I see you didn't listen to your father".
"Who you what do yo..."
Kajor began clawing and biting Kopa. Kopa couldn't fight back Kajor was to fast. Kajor's final attack was biting into Kopa and tossing him in the air. Kopa hit the ground bloody and cut. His eyes were barely open.
"Come on guys that is enough for them to believe that the outlands have kill him" said Kajor.
Kiara came up to Kopa just missing Kajor.
"Oh no Kopa...KOPA".
Kopa lay motionless on the ground.
"Mom Dad" yelled Kiara as she ran back to pride rock.
In the distance Vitani could hear screaming she rushed to see what was wrong. As she leaped over the hill she saw Kopa laying motionless on the ground.
"Kopa" she said tears streaming down her face. She nuzzled up close to Kopa's body.
"KOPA" she wailed. Suddenly Kajor and his group came back.
"Get out of here kid this is our food now". Vitani got up ran away from the hyenas.
"Alright I have a better idea than leaving him here let's dump him somewhere no one will find him". Kajor picked him up and dump him by a river that was a few miles away. Kopa lay there groaning in pain. He heard weird footsteps walking close to him suddenly this weird looking pale creature bent down and picked him up.
"Don't worry little buddy we will get you help". That was a human with the name of Kev. Kev took Kopa to an animal care facility. Kopa would spend the next few years of his life recovering. Now Kopa is a adult lion with a brown mane. He had slight scarring on his back and legs. He had a fient scar on his face. Kopa had made a full recovery and was waiting to be released. Kev was heading to his
Kopa's room. Kopa like Kev, even though Kopa couldn't communicate with him he still like him. Kev lead Kopa to his truck and helped him in the back. Over the next 30 minutes Kev drove Kopa back to the prides or as close as he could get him. Kopa could tell where he was at by the smell. He was deep in the outland territory.
