Giacomo Favretto at Museo Correr in Venice

The opearas of the venetian painter Giacomo Favretto (1849 - 1887) are finally back in town, after more than 100 year from the last exposition. With more than 80 operas the exibithion explain his artistical life and the relation with the oter artists of the '800.

His refined paintings show the everyday's life in Venice, the venetian and many secret spots of the city, as well as moment of intimacy and many portraits.  After his studies at  Accademia delle Belle Arti he became a point of reference for the renovation of the art in Venice and for all the next artists of the city.
