The Brazilian has made 29 appearances for the Serie A side this season, chipping in with three goals and an assist along the way.

Liverpool were previously tracking Bremer but their interest waned.

However, it's likely that Bremer will provide back-up to the Reds' main centre-backs Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Joel Matip if he moves to Anfield.

The Red Devils' back four's form this season has been catastrophic.

Club captain Harry Maguire has struggled to impose himself at the back during the current campaign.

His abysmal performances have led to calls for the England ace to be dropped for United's bigger games by club legend Nemanja Vidic.

While Maguire's defensive partner Raphael Varane's first season has been ravaged by injury since his arrival last summer.
