ROCKFORD – Lillian “Lilly” Ann Hansen, age 82, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday May 31, 2020. Born in Marengo, IL on March 14, 1938 to Louis & Frances Novak (Kucera). Lilly loved crafting and making custom birthday cards, as well as camping, traveling and tinkering in her garden. An avid shopper, she couldn't resist a bargain from QVC or the Home Shopping Network. She retired after many years at Swedish American Hospital, where she utilized her healthcare knowledge as a medical secretary. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Russell Charles Hansen; children, Kathy Hansen, Debbie (Wesley) Jenner, David (Laura Patterson) Hansen and Steve Hansen; grandchildren, Alex, Sean, Jodi, Cody (Jennifer), Jacob (Candice), Michael (Genna), Matthew and Jessica; great grandchildren, Alexa, Austin, Isaac, Taylor, Kendall, Kasen, Belle, Willow and Aiden; siblings, Bob (Joyce) Novak; many close nieces & nephews; and dear friends, Jackie, Nicole & Aiden Bousum, Charles Jones and Mark (Vicki) Dutenhafer. She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Rose (Ed) Weskerna; and beloved dogs, Lassie & Randy.
Services are Private due to COVID-19. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
