    Rita Irene Ottervik (born 11 September 1966 in Hitra) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party, who has served as the mayor of Trondheim since 2003. She has a background as secretary in the Workers' Youth League and has been political advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister under Thorbjørn Jagland (1996–1997). She was elected as a member of Trondheim city council in 1999, and served four years before becoming mayor.Ottervik was considered a possible candidate for a cabinet post following the elections of 2005 and 2009, but both times she declined such offers in favor of continuing her job as mayor.

She started her political career in the Workers' Youth League, as deputy leader of that organization in Sør-Trøndelag, from 1993 to 1995. In 1995 she was elected to Rissa municipal council. She later enrolled at the University of Oslo, graduating in political science. She worked as a secretary for the Workers' Youth League from 1996 to 1998, and as an advisor in the Labour Party from 1999. From 2002 to 2003 she worked as a personal advisor for Jens Stoltenberg. When the second cabinet Stoltenberg assumed office following the 2005 election, she was appointed State Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister.

She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1993, and was re-elected on one occasion. She served as a deputy representative during the terms 1989–1993 and 2001–2005. Three years into the second term as deputy, she replaced the regular representative Leif Lund who died. Tveiten was a member of Osterøy municipality council from 1983 to 1987. During this term she was also a member of Hordaland county council.

He became the leader after Gerd-Liv Valla resigned on 9 March 2007 in the aftermath of the Valla scandal. He has also represented the trade union in the National Wages Board, before becoming the trade union's leader. As a politician he served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Buskerud during the term 1985–1989.As of 2014 he is a board member of Kongsberg Gruppen.

After completing national service in the Royal Norwegian Navy, he moved to Liverpool, England to study medicine, graduating in 2003 with honours. He started as a family doctor in Skien, and later also became the medical director of the GP-led casualty unit. He was elected for a second term in Porsgrunn city council in 2007 after becoming leader of Porsgrunn Labour party the same year. In October 2008 he was appointed State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. In June 2010 he was appointed State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services In 2015 he was elected Mayor of the city of Porsgrunn

Following the 2007 election, Ryberg became the new county mayor (fylkesordfører) of Buskerud. Behind him was a coalition of the Labour Party, the Socialist Left Party, the Centre Party and the Liberal Party, who kept the right-wing candidate Mette Lund Stake at bay with 22 versus 21 votes in the county council. Before being elected county mayor, Ryberg had been mayor of Hurum municipality. He also served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Buskerud during the term 1989–1993.He resides at Filtvet.

Schjerven was born in Lardal and was a member of Lardal municipality council in the terms 1945–1947, 1947–1951 and 1951–1955.

On the local level Klungland was a member of Vest-Agder county council from 1991 to 1995. He chairs the Kvinesdal party chapter since 1997. Outside politics he spent many years as a factory worker, but in 1999 became "personnel consultant" in Sirdal municipality. He has been active in the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions and the European Movement.

He was originally a member of the Christian Democrats, serving as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Troms during the term 1997–2001. He switched to the Coastal Party after it was created in the late 1999. He was top candidate for the party in Troms in the 2001 election but marginally failed to get elected. In the 2003 local elections he was elected member for the Troms county council and re-elected mayor of Skjervøy, something he has been since 1995.On 13 March 2005 he was appointed chairman of the party, a position he held until 1 May 2007. The party failed to get legislative representation in the 2005 election, but Waage was again re-elected mayor of Skjervøy in the 2007 local elections.

In 2009 he was appointed as a political adviser with responsibility for press contact in the Office of the Prime Minister as a part of Stoltenberg's Second Cabinet.
