Obituary

Sylvia was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi to Dixie Lee Nix and Willie C. Davis. She grew up there and graduated from Hickory High school. She love playing basketball and played from the 9th to the 12th grade.

Her love and skill for the game attributed to several of her children and grandchildren also playing basketball.

After moving to Gulfport she worked at Gulfport Laundry as a sorter. Her next job was a nursing assistant at Gulfport Memorial Hospital where she retired after over 20 years of service.

She met and married Timmie Anderson Graham, and they were blessed with nine children. They were married for over fifty years. Because she loved to sing, she joined the Trinity Gospel Singers quartet group. She traveled and sang with them over twenty years. She loved to sew and frequently made clothing for her children and herself.
