Marine Harvest bid in the hands of Norwegian government

Cermaq's largest shareholder is the Norwegian Ministry of Industry and Trade, which owns 43.54 percent of the company's shares. This means that the success of Marine Harvest's bid is dependent on the Minister Trond Giske -- and his team.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Ministry issued a press release in which it stated it "has noted the bid and will decide on this."
