Move With The Rhythm

The K701 are a couple of over-ear headband headphones that got introduced into the market in 2005 and produced by AKG. They are not exactly famous for their pre-eminent build-quality, yet they still produce well-made headphones with gratifying sound profiles that many cultured listeners acknowledge on a daily basis. Dynamic earpieces like the K701 use electromagnetic drivers that turn its signals into soundwaves and many listeners with dynamic headphones point out that they are more natural-sounding than the others. All things considered, the K701 is tailored to HiFi systems.

A Decent Way Of Stress Relief

The frequency response of a pair of headphones conveys the lowest and the topmost frequency it can hit. The greater the coverage, superior the capability to reach diverse frequency bands. Yet it is worth noting that a greater coverage doesn't promise satisfactory audio delivery. The aforementioned pair of headphones deliver 10 - 39.800 Hz here. One of the most critical traits of an earpiece is impedance and this one has 62Ω of it. Which shields against blowouts caused by overburdening the earpieces if you are using a device with powerful amp, but you also need more battery life in turn. Otherwise, the earpieces will not be capable of hitting high volumes. Okay, but what sort of fitting do they have? While the circumaural fitting of the K701 has many benefits, it also drives the price up as well. At least compared to most earbuds and on-ear models, they generally more expensive.

K701: Where Do We Stand On It?

The K701 are among those audio accessories that aim further than your average shopper. While not constructed particularly for the HiFi crowd, AKG's objective with them is to belong to the higher slice of mid-grade earpieces with a higher-than-average price. I've got the 701 connected to my Logitech 2.1 with soundcard SB Creative Audigy SE bulk. The sound is fantastically detailed. I've heard things on some of the music Ive had for years that I'd never made out before thanks to these headphones. However, since the bass isn't that strong they're not so suited for heavy metal or Hip Hop. But theyre very comfortable and the sound is amazing so good job AKG!

This headphone immerses you in all the glory and auditory sensation of a well-recorded CD or even high-quality MP3. However I should mention that I've got the AKG connected to Audionet devices, so particularly high-end electronics in my case. Overall, the AKG K701 does it all: It gives the listener every little detail and bass is very deep. Sound quality is very rich, especially important for us music lovers. Props to AKG.
