The summer is hot, but Shakira’s new romance is hotter.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was spotted this week on a date with Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. The two were seen enjoying a laid-back dinner at London hotspot Novikov Restaurant & Bar on Wednesday evening. Entertainment Tonight reported the stars arrived separately just after 10:00 p.m. and left separately at around 1:30 a.m., with the NBA player’s security team escorting Shakira to her car.

Inside the restaurant, a source told the outlet, the duo were “looking cozy” as they enjoyed sushi and cocktails.

For the date, Shakira wore a sporty blue jumpsuit and black platform sandals. Butler wore a black T-shirt, black corduroy pants, white sneakers, a red handkerchief, and plenty of diamond-and-gold jewelry.

Speculation that things were turning romantic between Shakira and Butler started earlier this year, when the pop star moved to Miami. Since then, she has attended several Miami Heat games and even engaged with the basketball player on Instagram.

In May, amid the Miami Heat’s seven-game playoff round against the Boston Celtics, she shared a video of herself at one of the games. “Let’s go Heat! 🏀,” she captioned the clip.

Butler has previously been linked to actresses Selena Gomez and Shay Mitchell. He shares a three-year-old daughter, Rylee, with ex-girlfriend Kaitlin Nowak.

Shakira shares sons Milan, 10, and Sasha, eight, with ex Gerard Piqué. The singer and the soccer pro were together for over a decade, and announced their split in June 2022. Since then, Shakira has been on a roll with her music, having released several chart-topping hits about the split: “Monotonía,” “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” and “TQG.”
