Dinh Cong Dat graduated from the Hanoi Fine Art University in 1994 with a B.A. in sculpture. 

Dat often depicts animals, insects or human forms in his sculptural works. He has participated in numerous international artist residencies and group exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions including the Bankside Gallery in London, the Biennale in Liverpool City, the Iskandar Gallery in Paris, the Fielding Lecht Gallery in Austin, Texas and the Fred Harris Gallery at the Tokyo American Club. His works have also been shown at the Vietnam Fine Art Museum in Hanoi and the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Art Museum. Dat was retained by fashion brand Hermes to design and create their store-front displays in Vietnam.  

Dinh Cong Dat has staged several solo and group exhibition since 1990s.
Dinh Cong Dat is a member of Vietnam’s Fine Art Association.
