INTRODUCING THE 2011 HONDA CR-Z

Introducing the 2011 Honda CR-Z!

The Honda CR-Z will be Honda's first hybrid coupe!  The Honda CR-Z  will be a 2 seat vehicle featuring futuristic styling and a sporty drive in the gasoline-electric hybrid segment of vehicles. 

The CR-Z will be powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with Honda's compact and lightweight Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid-electric system with a 6-speed manual standard transmission, sport focused, new for any mass-produced hybrid.  Also available is an automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which includes steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual-like gear-ratio control contributing to the sporty feel!  

With a customizable driving, the CR-Z features an innovative 3-mode drive system that can be switched from Sport, Normal, and Economy modes changing the driving experience and car's performance!  Driver efficiency tools include Eco Assist? and Eco Scoring, which together can help drivers find improvements to efficient driving styles, while also comparing economy achievements to previous trips as well as the life of the vehicle.

The 2011 Honda CR-Z is available as a base model and an EX.  Standard features on the base model include AM/FM/CD/USB audio system with six speakers, automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, remote entry, and cruise control to name a few.  The EX model will add a 360-watt audio system with seven speakers, including a sub-woofer.  Also included in the EX model is Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®, leather-wrapped steering wheel and more. The CR-Z EX is available with the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System? with Voice Recognition.1

The CR-Z is designed to protect vehicle occupants in a frontal collision with it's Advanced Compatibility Engineering ? (ACE ?) body structure.  Additional safety features include Vehicle Stability Assist ? (VSA®); standard dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags; standard front-side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS); side-curtain airbags; active head restraints; an anti-lock braking system; a tire pressure monitoring system; and a pedestrian injury mitigation design in the front of the vehicle.
