The post comes as the charity campaigner, who survived a horrific acid attack in 2008, candidly described how she has her 'highs and lows' with confidence in an exclusive interview with MailOnline.

'I think my confidence is a bit all over the place. I have my highs, I have my lows. But it’s never really a celebrity [who I draw inspiration from]. It’s probably the guests from my podcast,' she began, speaking about her Extraordinary People podcast.

'They're not names that anyone would have heard of but they have these incredible stories where different things have happened to them in life,' Katie said.

'They've found ways, not to fix certain things as they still are in their lives, but they've learned to live with it, thrive and prosper.

'I think it's that kind of resilience that reminds me as humans we all have confidence in us, we just want to tap into it and exercise it.'

Reflecting on her recent 38th birthday, Katie told how her daughters Penelope, four, and Belle, seven, whom she shares with husband Richard, blindfolded her with their 'dirty socks'.

They soon led their doting mum to an array of surprise treats, consisting of 'chocolate cake, homemade cards, and lots of flowers'.

Dubbing herself 'one of those annoying people that doesn't find running a chore', Katie also claimed that going for a 'gentle 5K' with one of her pals is one of her favourite forms of therapy.

'If I've got a day working from home, things might irritate me, emails might make me flappy. I'll just notice I become a bit less tolerant and patient if I'm not able to factor some kind of movement into my lunch break,' she said.

'I'll be calm and measured and I'll have more feel good endorphins. In terms of energy levels, I'm more lethargic when I don't exercise.'

In her capacity as an ASICS ambassador, Katie recently led an experiment where Nottinghamshire's Retford was transformed into 'Upliftford' after research undertaken by the brand showed the town's residents wanted an 'uplift' the most.

The free event, held in collaboration with mental health charity MIND, was filled with various colourful exercise pop-ups, including bus stops which had been turned into bus steps - and benches into bench presses.

The TV personality, who completed its running circuit a whopping three times, said: 'I ran through the town with everyone, I took part in every station. Also, I went on stage and gave a motivating talk.

'I think when you make yourself vulnerable by talking about difficulties you’ve faced, trauma, or even things you struggle with day-to-day, you connect with other people.

'And you take away any stigma or shame attached to it and stop it from being a taboo subject. It’s really good to see groups of people coming together talking about something that years ago just wouldn’t be happening in the public arena.'

Attendees monitored their progress using the ASICS Mind Uplifter tool, which uses progressive technology to scan the user's face and pose questions in order to collect data which detects their psychological state.

Katie survived a sulphuric acid attack orchestrated by her ex-boyfriend in 2008, which caused significant damage to her face and left her blind in one eye.

The horrifying attack was organised by her obsessive ex-partner, Daniel Lynch, but was carried out by accomplice Stefan Sylvestre in a pre-planned street attack outside her north London home.

Lynch was subsequently given two life terms behind bars, while Sylvestre served 6-years of his own life sentence. He was released in 2018.

Katie underwent more than 40 operations to treat her burns, including pioneering surgery that involves completely removing the damaged skin from her face and replacing it with a substitute.

She's ever-so-busy with The Katie Piper Foundation, her charity which provides rehabilitation for burns survivors, along with corporate talks, mentoring work and a plethora of TV opportunities.

Yet, the model recently began leading workshops at prisons in order to promote confidence and self esteem among the inmates.

She used her caption to highlight the 'sheer luck' and 'privilege', which determined her 'stability' in her life. She later told MailOnline she was initially hesitant to take on the role.

'I’ve been approached for a long time by prisons themselves but it wasn’t something that I felt was right for me at the time,' she admitted.

'Then after lockdown, I decided to fill my time with more important things that I believed in. I got so much from it because I had a lot in common with the women and it felt like a really good use of my time. I felt empowered by them too.'
