C8 Black wheels

To the original poster...stay with the standard silver rims that are no cost and when you get the car take a good look at the aftermarket wheels discussed in this thread.
the slightly wider aftermarket wheels have a better offset to bring the wheel flush with the body so it offers a better stance.
the gm wheels offered are way over priced for what you get.
just doesnt make sense when you look at what the aftermarket offers.
good luck deciding...besides a ton of guys ordered tridents and then went off and bought after, arket wheels too.
in about a year the oem trident wheels will be selling locally on craigslist for a grand for all four..
happens with every generation...
wait 3 years and the black tridents will be selling for 600 dollars on craigslist and maybe even the corvette forum.
maybe Im a little low but Im not that far off...

They do not.
You have to purchase a new set or use the ones that came on the car with the standard wheels. I just found them at a forum vendor for $169 for a set of 4 (West Coast Corvettes).
Since you're in NY, what I would do is put a set of all season tires on one set, and summer tires on the other. However, I drive all my cars 12 months a year.

Just spend the $17.69 for a can of carbon flash paint.

Originally, I didn’t like the black wheels with the machine face edge so I didn’t order them so I got the base silver wheels. Black wheels are a better contrast with my Sebring Orange body color. I found a set of take off black wheels with the machine face edge and low mileage tires not too far away at a great price. So I am using them as my daily wheels and the silver wheels set for track use.
The machine face edge has grown on me and I like them now. To me, the all black is just too much. My C7 had black wheels and I like them on my Laguna Blue paint. In my opinion, the small machine face breaks-up from the all solid black on the Sebring Orange C8.

Take a look at the thread I attached - I ended up not removing the wheels since you would need to spray them from an upright position anyway. Very happy with the results - lots of different sizes of blue tape and some patience. Prob an hour per wheel? First one will take longer - after you figure it out it will move much more quickly.

Burning Brakes
I’d just get it with the standard, no charge silver wheels and have them powder coated like I did on my C7 for $440.
Why spend $995 for the black wheels with the machined edge and then have to buy paint and paint them?

So I ordered carbon flash paint because I was going to paint the machined edge in mine thinking I wouldn't like it but it actually looks way better in person than I thought it would. It breaks up all of the black.

Actually I did end up going with the online ShopChevyparts.com that you mentioned even with shipping of $130 I still saved money!!! Thanks! I didn't get them yet but hoping it's all good when they arrive.
