Petition Palmetto State Armory to Start a Line of FAL Rifles
Why this petition matters
The Fabrique Nationale Fusil Automatique Leger (FN Light Automatic Rifle) is a wildly successful battle rifle platform chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO that has been used by over 90 countries around the world. It has gained such a reputation for its widespread use that it has garnered the nickname, "The Right Arm of the Free World".
The FAL is a durable, reliable rifle that performs well in even the most adverse conditions. Its adjustable gas regulator allows the operator to fine-tune cycling, enabling the use of many different types of ammunition in a variety of climate conditions. Even after an importation ban, and despite rejection by the US Army in favor of the M14, the FAL is beloved by many Americans who toil away with parts kits to produce functioning semi-automatic rifles.
This petition has been started on behalf of FAL owners and lovers across America. We ask the great industrial and knowledge base of Palmetto State Armory to start a line of new-production FAL pattern rifles. We hope this will feed the growing market of individuals looking for 30 caliber capabilities in nostalgic and iconic package. Palmetto already has experience in old-world manufacturing techniques such as forging and stamping due to their successful AK series of rifles, and we expect that the same quality and dedication would be well-suited to the FAL.
Parts and parts kits for the FAL are in limited supply, the same as the AK market. One day, the parts will dry up, leaving only a select handful of manufacturers of dubious quality producing parts at exorbitant prices. We ask that Palmetto take on the Right Arm of the Free World as its next project, to ensure the survival and proliferation of this cherished weapons platform for a new generation of shooters.
