Added a second PSA XV-15 sub. Now the room shakes like King Kong is locked in my basement and punching the floor boards, trying to escape! I also widened the placement of the height speakers so they sit at more of a 45 degree angle from the MLP as suggested by Audyssey for DSX matrixing.

Keep in mind when rating, this is still very much a work in progress. I intend to add a lot of room treatments and upgrade wires and interconnects to something a little more substantial. Also, virtually all the gear you will see in this gallery was obtained on a serious budget, so everything except the OMD-28's and display were acquired second hand.

Custom Clear Day jumpers

Mirage OMD-5 height speakers. Still need to paint the cable covers as well as sand and paint where I messed up mounting the speakers.

Mirage OMD-C2 with grill on. My pride and joy! This speaker has become next to impossible to find. I obtained this for a steal of a deal from another forum member here. Best center speaker I've ever used!

OMD-C2 with the grill off. Any imperfections are just glare caused by the camera flash. This speaker is pretty much flawless.

Oppo BDP-103 with region free mod handling all blu ray and media streaming. Emotiva UPA-1, a beast of a monoblock, powering the OMD-C2

Onkyo 818 AVR. So far, it's been a flawless performer. I'm loving the MultiEQ XT32. It really does a spectacular job at bass management. The unit also powers my four Mirage OMD-5's.

PS3 80gig Fat and Emotiva XPA-2 Gen2. This amp is a BEAST and does a wonderful job powering the Mirage OMD-28's.

The rear stage. Mirage OMD-5x2 on Bello stands and my primary seating, a leather Flexsteel sofa I got for a ridiculous steal in the clearance section. I cannot overstate how comfortable it is to nestle into that thing and loose myself in a movie.

No Harmony remotes for me. I'm not scared to juggle multiple remotes.

In my room putting some panels behind the 28s really helped with echoing. I couldn't pull them off the wall far enough for what they needed. It worked well for me. I didn't need any on the side walls since I had enough room in between the speakers and the walls.

Easily one of the finest systems I have yet seen. The sheer beauty of the components is enough to draw you in.Then,I am sure,the Mirage/Emotiva combination is enough to draw anyone in for a movie.Well Done.

First of all, thanks for the kind words about my set up. Excellent choice of speakers! I just replaced my Mirage speakers with what you saw in my gallery. That sub looks like it can put out some serious room shaking bass too! I like your choice of equipment as well. I do have one question for you. Does your Emotiva not run too hot in that enclosed space? I thought about putting mine inside my Salamander (it even has ventilated doors) but I was worried about it not having sufficient room to breathe. Kudos again on your set up!

Thanks, pacman. I kind of did things backward. I focused my resources on the audio side and used what was leftover for the video. The tv isn't winning any best picture awards, buy it was a big stepup from my old edge lit LCD. It suits my needs.

Thanks for the kind comments morbid, i literally am picking my jaw up off my laptop. That is the sickest speaker set-up ive seen. Truly gorgeous! I have a decent 7.1 Polk system w/Onkyo, Denon components i have all my system in storage as i live in kind of a small apt and just couldn't work them in, plus neighbors on all sides. Theres no way it would've worked, lol, but im moving soon anyway. I put adhesive magnetic strips in rows and put the steelbooks up that way, two strips per row. One for the upper part of the steelbook and one for the lower, they work great and the rolls of magnet strips are pretty inexpensive as well. I cant stand the thought of shelving my steels like my regular amarays because in most cases the art is so much better and i want to see them. Very nice HT room, very clean and elegant looking, which is the way i've always tried to have mine but is a constant battle with children and all. Well done man, Well Done!!

Rob 14, the walls are painted wood paneling. No telling what's behind them. Not to mention, a dropped ceiling above it with, who knows what kind of insulation? It's because of these factors, drilling into the wall or ceiling to run wire isn't really feasible.

Have you ever thought to drill a hole behind the FS speaker and the one straight down to floor and drop a chain on top and pull thru and pull the speaker wire inside the wall to speaker ?

VanDammage, I would definitely love to load up on memorabilia. Not pictured are a few rare, limited edition steelbooks and other blu's, as well as some posters. I have a rare Italian movie poster for American History X, actually used to promote the film over sees and a few others, but I've yet to frame and hang them. I've literally invested every spare dollar on my meager gear, but memorabilia is soon to come. Thank you all for your kind comments. A lot of top notch setups around here that humble my room.
