For your second question, if you are connecting two pairs of speakers to a single Sonos Amp you cannot control independent playback or volume for each pair.

- A: AnswerHi Danny, Yes, you would still need an Amp to power them. If you chose our Sonos Amp it does have a line-in input for additional devices. The advantage to using our Sonos Amp with the Sonos speakers is that they are the only passive speakers that can be tuned to your specific environment using a process called TruePlay in our app. Second, you can connect up to three pairs of Sonos by Sonance speakers to one Amp. - A: AnswerHi Zach, that is absolutely right but you would need to use a Sonos Amp to power these speakers for that configuration to work. The Sonos Amp would be connected as surround channels in the Sonos app.

- A: AnswerHi, and thank you for your question. Yes you can, you would need x2 Sonos Amps to do this. One powering the fronts and one powering the surrounds. You can even add our Sub wirelessly or another company's sub to it with the sub output built into the Amp. No receiver needed.
