Join a guided hiking tour at Mount Fløyen, easily accessible from the city centre with the Fløibanen funicular. This hike is a must if you want to get the most out of your visit to Bergen; get away from the crowds and enjoy the magnificent views of Bergen and the surrounding area!
You will meet up with the guide in the city centre of Bergen, where you will get a short introduction and safety brief, before walking past the fish market to Fløibanen funicular.
The Fløibanen funicular in Bergen is one of Norway’s best-known and most visited attractions. The journey up to Fløyen takes about 5–8 minutes and reaches up to 320 metres above sea level. Note that you will buy the tickets for the funicular together with the guide.
Your guide will take you through untouched terrain, reaching some higher summits with amazing views of Bergen and the ocean surrounding it. The local guide will also be able to tell you about Norwegian culture, habits and history.
After the 3-hour mountain hiking you will return to the town centre of Bergen where you can spend the rest of the day exploring the charming Hanseatic city.

Fitness level required: The hike requires some experience in hiking and has a medium difficulty level. Most of the hike is in uneven terrain that may be wet and slippery, so proper hiking shoes are required.
Equipment required: As a participant, you must ensure that you use shoes that are suitable for hiking in wet/rough terrain. The guide can reject participants who do not have suitable shoes.
Special conditions: Minimum 3 persons. You can still book this experience if you are less than 3 persons as there might be other travellers participating.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled by the provider or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
