All the Smashbox x Casey Holmes Collaboration Details We Know So Far

A couple days after teasing the upcoming Smashbox x Casey Holmes collaboration on her Instagram with a mysterious box, Casey Holmes finally shared what's inside. The beauty vlogger took a break from New York Fashion Week festivities to post a picture on Instagram of the two Spotlight Palettes she helped create with Smashbox, which launch in a couple days. That's right, there will be not one, but two Smashbox x Casey Holmes highlighting palettes. Deep breaths, people. You're going to need that oxygen when you see what these things are all about.

Holmes also Snapchatted some swatches of the six brand-new highlighters and shared some background on the collab. The palettes have been in the works since June, and Holmes has been wearing them for months. So if you're one of her 1.3 million followers on YouTube and have been dying to know what her glow has been all about, now you know the secret Holmes has been keeping. (If you don't follow her, we strongly suggest doing so and watching this hilarious beauty tutorial first.)

When Holmes dipped her fingers into the pans to swatch them, our first thought was these highlighters look creamy AF. Holmes basically confirmed this when she said during her Snap story, "The one thing I love the most about this formula that we have is it does not emphasize your texture." She has a bit of texture to her skin but said, "I pile this stuff on, and it looks good." That deserves all the praise hands emojis. Powder highlighters do tend to make enlarged pores look even more humongous, but creamy formulas help smooth everything out.

As for the shades inside the three-shade Spotlight Palettes, the Gold version appears to have, well, more golden and peachy shades while the Pearl edition has rose gold and champagne tones. We're kind of glad that all six highlighters don't come in one big palette, because they will be easier to travel with. Also, you won't be left with untouched shades if certain highlighters don't flatter your skin tone.

You can check out swatches of all of the shades below.

Neither Holmes nor Smashbox have announced an official launch date, price, or availability, but we reached out to Smashbox for more info. We will be sure to update this post when we hear back. Holmes did say in her Instagram post on Friday that it would be out in seven days, so maybe mark your calendar in pencil? Either way, it seems like we'll be getting this beauty vlogger collab sooner than Morphe's Jaclyn Hill Palette.
