Flour tortilla chips are easy to make with this simple recipe! We first had these while on vacation in the Caribbean. We now prefer these to store-bought corn tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil for frying

  • 8 (10 inch) flour tortillas, each cut into 8 triangles

Directions

  1. Gather all ingredients.

  2. Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a heavy 10-inch skillet over medium heat until 360 degrees F (182 degrees C), about 8 minutes.

  3. Lower tortilla triangles carefully into the hot oil in batches; fry, turning frequently, until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with remaining tortilla triangles.
