Mitsubishi Imiev named least expensive electric car

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - If it's an electric car you are searching for, then Mitsubishi's 2016 Imiev (eye-meev) could be the least expensive option.

The 2016 model will retail for just under $23,000, but with a federal tax credit of $7,500, the price drops even more.

The Imiev was first introduced in 2011 but has failed to gain traction so far with buyers.

Standard features include heated front seats, remote keyless entry and an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty on the battery pack.
