JAKARTA - The five-door version of Suzuki Jimny is produced and exclusively designated for the Indian market. However, because of its practicality with longer dimensions, it is not impossible that this car will be exported to Japan.

This was revealed by CV Raman, as Chief Technology Officer of Maruti Suzuki, saying that his party would take the SUV to the Sakura State market, but it all took time.

Jimny's five doors will also be launched in Japan, but in some time, "said Raman as quoted by Carscoops, Wednesday, October 18.

This possibility is again reinforced by manufacturers who previously announced plans to offer this model in the global market, including India, Africa, and Latin America, but Suzuki looks set to consider further public reactions.

The iconic model was built based on its usefulness in extreme off-road fields ranging from a ladder frame chassis, wide body angle, rigid 3-link suspension and the AllGRIP Pro (4WD) mover with low range gear transfer (4L mode).

By design, this car has a longer dimension than the Jimny 3-door model. But it also looks not much different from the front, front and rear spots, engine hoods, windshields and wheel arch extensions also appear to be identical to the three-door model. The difference is seen in the stern bodywork of the back door.

The full list of standard features of the two models has not yet been released, but in some of Jimny's reviews include automatic LED lights, a 9-inch infotainment display with Arkamys' Suzuki SmartPlay Pro+, cruise control, and sound system system.

Meanwhile, in terms of safety, the car is equipped with six airbags, ESPN with a hill-hold assist,hill-descent control, rear camera, and ABS.

Suzuki Jimny five doors are presented with a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 103 dk of power and a 134 Nm torque. The enthusiast can also choose to pair this machine to a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic with a torque converter.

For the future, Suzuki is likely to expand Jimny's ranks with a hybrid version, given that the current electrification market is very important. Japan is one example, where the brand's local product will consist of 20% electric vehicles and 80% hybrid vehicles by 2030.
