This Turkish, vintage SHADOW PUPPETS set came from my Great-Aunt who taught at a University in Istanbul in the 1940’s! This is a lost art form and that’s what makes this set extra special. These are handmade and made from dried Camel skin. Please read the pages I photographed from the original Shadow Theatre program that my Aunt had with these. The photo I included was from her home in 1967 showing how she had them displayed in a light box on a shelf. I would love to sell this to a museum or someone in Turkish community that would appreciate this and the history of the stories and art form. The set includes 24 original, handmade Shadow Theatre characters and the original program from 1940’s that explain the history and art form. $100.00
