Almost every restaurant sells Dungeness crab and clam chowder bread bowls so there should be no trouble finding a place to eat! Expect to pay around $60 per Dungeness crab at a sit down indoor restaurant or around $30 per crab at one of the seafood stands at the pier or along Fisherman’s wharf, depending on the season.

It is pretty easy to spot sea lions anywhere along the water of the pier but a majority of them will hang around the viewing area. If you are sensitive to smell, remember to bring a mask or anything to help you endure the odor in this area. On some days, the odor is really strong!

The Museé Mécanique in San Francisco features a collection of antique mechanical arcade games and historical artifacts. It was founded by Edward Galland Zelinsky, who started collecting as a child. In 1933, he opened a penny arcade in Fisherman's Wharf. After his death, his family donated the collection to the city of San Francisco, and the museum was relocated to its current location in Fisherman's Wharf. Today, it is a popular tourist destination with over 300 antique arcade games and mechanical music machines. This attraction was even featured in a scene of the iconic movie “The Princess Diaries” where Mia Thermopolis took her royal grandmother to an arcade and played an arm wrestling game.
