Pachysandra Terminalis commonly known as Japanese Spurge is a lovely mat forming, evergreen perennial plant which forms a mass of ground cover and all year interest! The leaves are mid green, glossy in look and slightly toothed on the edges created a dense mat of green. In the months of May and June the Pachysandra Terminalis will bloom these short, almost stubby spikes of white flowers which sit slightly above the leaves, showering the plant in colour in the warmer months.
A great all round garden plant that is often used for ground cover, being evergreen allows for it to be planted at the front of flower beds and borders to admire all year round and suiting a variety of planting schemes and garden types including courtyard gardens, informal planting and many more.
Pachysandra Terminalis care
Plant the Pachysandra Terminalis in a well shaded area, either fully or partially shaded and it will thrive, known to grow in almost any soil type apart from very dry soils makes for a perfect all rounder. Easy to care for and very low maintenance, no pruning is required on this perennial meaning it can be a perfect addition to a low maintenance garden, whilst being known to be generally disease free too.
