Halloween Extravaganza Day 3: Sew the Morticia Gown!

Addams Family inspired sewing pattern

Hello, gals and ghouls! I’m so thrilled to present the perfectly macabre Morticia Gown, a free expansion on the Charm Patterns Bryant Gown. If you’re anything like me, you think that Carolyn Jones in the original Addams Family was the epitome of dark glamour. Perfect for nights of Halloween mischief (or every day for you goths out there!) we’ve expanded the Bryant Gown into something perfectly morbid. (And big news! We’ve now updated the Bryant Gown into our complete size range of 2-20 and 18-34. Not sure which range to pick? Read this blog post!)

We know Halloween sewing needs to be fast and fabulous, so we’ve designed this version to be speedy and stunning—perfect for a last minute, quick and easy Halloween costume! You will use the Bryant Gown’s main dress pieces and add these free expansion sleeve and flounce pieces to sew a wonderfully gothic gown. We’ve used a stretch neoprene, which means you can eliminate the zipper and leave the hem edges raw. We’ve also nixed the neckline facings and replaced them with a lovely Venise lace trim that we know Morticia would love.
