Hi everyone!
I keep looking at the awesome stuff of artists like Billelis and The Archangel (on Instagram) and wanted to do something more mythological.
I chose Mammon, the demon associated with greed. I have been very inspired by the depiction of Mammon by George Frederick Watts, 1884–85.
The characters take a similar pose, but I wanted to spice up the whole composition.
Overall, that’s one of my most ambitious pieces regarding its complexity, happy I made it through! (and my computer too, it crashed at least 20 times with this one, and the Blender auto-saves have filled up my C drive… 
)

I recycled my mullah and got rid of the clearly identifiable elements to make him “just” an old beardy guy with a mean eye
The core of the work here was the composition, ensuring consistency of the materials and gathering assets on sketchfab. Not much in terms of modeling.
I have post-processed the render with Topaz Studio 2 to give it this slightly painted look. I find it particularly useful in the zones lacking detail. It gives them an interesting texture.

With post-processing… Makes quite the difference IMHO
I keep using the cloth materials of Simon Thommes @Pixelshatter , they’ve been incredibly useful for a while now, thanks a ton! Same goes with the Erindale’s @Gemn patterned cloth from a past Nodevember. Overall, thanks a lot to both of you, the node geeks are grateful
